VirtualPBX Wins TMC 2020 Teleworking Solutions Excellence Award

2020 TMC Teleworking Solutions Excellence Award LogoVirtualPBX announced today that it has been awarded a 2020 Teleworking Solutions Excellence Award from global media company TMC.

The award recognizes the product developments from communications companies in subfields such as conferencing, networking and connectivity, and communications-as-a-service. VirtualPBX took home the 2020 Teleworking Solutions Excellence Award for its collection of Dash Business Phone Plans, which include a number of professional features for businesses of all sizes.

“If you’re a business that needs voice communications for your on-premise or remote team, we have a plan that will meet your needs. This award win encapsulates that ideal,” said VirtualPBX CEO Paul Hammond in response to the TMC announcement. “Our Unlimited User Plans are great for businesses with low call volume; Unlimited Minute Plans cater to larger businesses that see a lot of voice communication with customers; and clients in specific niches can benefit from our Voicemail Only and Call Forwarding Plans.

“Our Plans lead the market with included features – notably use of our full-featured Web Phone for making calls on any device and Ring Groups to route calls to employee groups and departments. Call Forwarding keeps employees connected to all inbound calls, and Audio Conferencing lets distributed teams meet at a moment’s notice.”

VirtualPBX has long adapted its VoIP phone plans to the needs of its customers. The past few months have been trying for us all, and although some businesses have remained open and operating normally, most have seen drastic change in their daily functions. Some businesses have adopted remote work policies and moved their entire staff off-site while others survive now only with a minimal crew. Every business’s changes require a unique response from its communications providers.

Businesses can shift their workforce to an entirely remote setup, or a combination of remote and on-site work, without losing efficiency or their contact with customers. Remote workers can expect to access the same VirtualPBX features in their homes as they do normally from the company office, whether they use the Web Phone on a laptop or a VoIP desk phone from a home workspace.

Employees can reach their VirtualPBX Phone Plan from any location with an internet connection. Managers can rely on routine and advanced phone system usage, such as with the features of Whisper and Barge in VirtualPBX ACD Queues Pro, to work as well in a distributed setup as it has historically in their brick-and-mortar locations.

The 2020 Teleworking Solutions Excellence Award underlines one of the greatest struggles of our time. Humanity has seen itself upended and calling for teleworking products like never before. VirtualPBX has found its place in that fray by stepping forward with its existing Dash Phone Plans – Unlimited Minutes and Unlimited Users – and reaching out to special circumstances with the new creations of Voicemail Only and Call Forwarding Plans.

TMC CEO Rich Tehrani commented that the 2020 Teleworking Solutions Excellence Award honors “the best and the most innovative products this industry has to offer” and commenting further that the award winners “have proven their commitment to quality and ongoing development.” VirtualPBX is always thrilled to see its products recognized in this manner and to know that its hard work is seen positively by the industry as a whole.

VirtualPBX’s commitment to its customers has always been a top priority. The accolade this time around simply happens to arrive at a time when that commitment is being tested in new ways. With the whole industry working hard to make remote working a reality for all business, the collective hope is that the test will be passed and work can return to normal as quickly as possible.

VirtualPBX Zapier Integration Now Public for Use in All Phone Plans

VirtualPBX Zapier Integration ScreenshotBusiness Phone System developer VirtualPBX announced today that its Zapier Integration is live and ready for public use.

The Zapier Integration allows businesses to streamline their workflows by connecting web applications through Zapier’s task automation platform. VirtualPBX customers can now use the VirtualPBX Integration to capture inbound and outbound calls from their phone plans and link them to popular services like Google Sheets, Trello, Hubspot, and hundreds of others.

“VirtualPBX uses the Zapier platform every day to link its web apps,” VirtualPBX COO Lon Baker commented about his company’s Zapier use. “It connects us more deeply to our phone system and the processes that work throughout our business. Our departments rely on these connections to provide excellent customer service and effective sales.

“We’re proud to see our own Zapier Integration be released to the public. Now all our customers can capture phone system events quickly and reliably, integrating their own phone system data with hundreds of other available apps.”

Zapier Templates ScreenshotAll VirtualPBX Phone Plans work with Zapier. A small business that prefers to use Call Forwarding can get started with an Unlimited Users plan; a midsize company or enterprise can begin with an Unlimited Minutes plan for heavier phone system use. Either style of plan can link the company’s calls to its web apps.

This means that a startup can easily create notifications of its inbound calls to a Slack channel. Similarly, a larger business can filter calls from multiple DID numbers across multiple marketing campaigns, potentially tracking activity in a Trello board.

The links between web apps are what give businesses the opportunity to create smooth customer interactions. VirtualPBX’s COO commented further on this point:

“Our customers don’t see all the automation that happens behind the scenes,” Baker said. “But there’s certainly a lot that takes place the instant that a customer calls our business. It’s those invisible, streamlined effects that make our customer interactions a step above. That’s what we hope to help our customers provide for their own clients.”

The VirtualPBX Zapier feature page provides a list of pre-built templates to help customers get started. These include basic outlines like logging an inbound call within a Google Sheet or a Trello card. They exist for both inspiration and convenience, giving newcomers a head start and experienced users a quick nudge to more advanced zaps.

VirtualPBX also offers multiple tutorials on its feature page. These include instructions about keeping a running count of weekly calls through Gmail reports and using conditional logic when creating Trello cards for multiple teams.

There are thousands of combinations possible between the VirtualPBX Zapier Integration and the numerous other web apps listed on Zapier’s website. Prospective customers are encouraged to schedule a Free Demo of a VirtualPBX Phone Plan to see how the system works and how Zapier can help automate its daily processes.

VirtualPBX Releases ACD Queues Pro Feature for Management of Large Call Teams

VirtualPBX has announced the release of ACD Queues Pro, a new feature of the VirtualPBX Business Phone System designed to help expansive businesses manage large teams both on-site and remotely.

ACD Queues Pro builds upon the functionality of the existing ACD Queues feature by offering capabilities like Whisper and Barge, Hold Treatment options for inbound callers, advanced Call Routing to agents, Call Recording within queues, Performance Reports, and Activity Logging with downloadable reports.

“ACD Queues Pro drives advancements in our Business Phone System that will assist businesses with large call volumes,” said VirtualPBX COO Lon Baker. “We’re all excited to see this feature put into place. It’s one more step in the direction of giving our clients greater control over their inbound calls.

“Now clients have the options of Ring Groups, ACD Queues, and the new ACD Queues Pro for various levels of call routing complexity. It’s fantastic to see this put into place when so many companies are looking for full-featured, powerful call routing options that work directly alongside their base phone plans.”

Whisper and Barge features in ACD Queues Pro allow managers to coach agents and join active calls. When Whispering, managers can speak to an agent who is currently live in a call, but without the inbound caller able to hear the conversation. Barging gives managers the ability create a full 3-way call where both the agent and inbound caller can hear all other members of the conversation.

Hold Treatment options for queues lets administrators design the experience that inbound callers will enter when they’re waiting for an agent to answer the call. A queue could be set to announce the caller’s expected wait time and queue position before playing a few minutes of hold music. It can then repeat those actions to keep callers informed throughout their wait.

Advanced Call Routing options include the strategies Most Idle, Least Calls Handled, Least Offers Made, and Round Robin to suit the needs of any business. A random assignment of calls can be more fair while a prescribed assignment can target specific agents, for example, for training purposes.

Available Call Recording within queues can further enhance training methods for businesses that use ACD Queues Pro. Call Recording can be assigned to automatically capture inbound and outbound traffic on a per-agent level.

Performance Reports let you see the live activity for a session, including information about an agent’s time set as Ready, Away, In a Call, and in Recovery. Managers can quickly view agent performance in separate queues and display the performance of multiple agents side by side.

ACD Queues Pro Agent Performance

Activity Logging is also active for every user in each queue. The dashboard of the Activity Log can filter by agent, type of activity, and phone number to get an accurate picture of recent queue actions. Logs are also downloadable for viewing in external software. This makes an excellent compliment to the Call Reports feature that offers VirtualPBX Phone System users access to a complete history of calls and can filter reports by dozens of criteria.

ACD Queues Pro will make a perfect fit at larger organizations that process many inbound and outbound calls. Call centers, campaign headquarters, and distributed customer support teams, just to name a few, will find the power of this new feature a perfect fit for their goals.

VirtualPBX Dash Business Phone System Awarded 2020 Internet Telephony Product of the Year

2020 Internet Telephony Product of the Year Award LogoVirtualPBX announced today that it has received the 2020 Product of the Year Award from TMC and Internet Telephony Magazine.

This receipt marks VirtualPBX’s fourth consecutive Product of the Year win for Business Phone, which has gone through significant development in every year since 2017. The award represents not just the consistency of the phone system but for its innovation and ability to adapt to a changing marketplace.

“It’s amazing to see our string of Product of the Year wins stacked next to one another,” said VirtualPBX COO Lon Baker. “We’ve done an incredible job, and I’m sure we’ll continue to do great work in the coming years.”

Baker was quick to mention the VirtualPBX team as the driving force behind this success.

“It’s not just our Dash Phone System that deserves this award. It’s all the people on our team who put in the time and energy to make the platform what it has become. This includes our engineers who build and maintain the code, our customer support and sales reps who offer guidance and advice to customers, our marketing team that spreads the word of our development, the partners who work hard to support our efforts, and the management that pulls it all together.”

The VirtualPBX Dash Phone System is continually being updated with new features. Recent additions to the platform include upgrades to the Web Phone and its syncing capabilities with ACD Queues and a redesign of its Dashboard to more prominently feature Do Not Disturb functionality.

VirtualPBX customers are brought into the fold early with beta tests, like Zapier integration. Furthermore, there are a handful of features in development like SMS text messaging and Call Center capability that were created in response to customer demand.

Rich Tehrani, the CEO of TMC, noted the importance of customers in his comment to all of this year’s award recipients:

“Congratulations to the winners of the 2020 INTERNET TELEPHONY Product of the Year Award. The recipients represent leaders within the VoIP and IP Communications industries and have demonstrated innovation and excellence. We look forward to seeing their future successes and continued leadership driving new solutions for their customers.”

This represents VirtualPBX’s sentiments exactly for what it hopes to achieve in the communications market. Customers should have access to powerful tools that make their business operations more effective and more efficient. They can achieve these goals with the VirtualPBX Business Phone System.

VirtualPBX Minute Plans Cater to Businesses With Occasional Voice Usage

VirtualPBX Minute Plans TableVirtualPBX, a developer of business phone plans for more than 20 years, announced today that it has released its new Minute 300, Minute 500, and Minute 1000 Plans.

The new Minute Plans arrive as a low-cost alternative to the established Dash Plans. Both sets use same underlying framework – which offers powerful features like Automated Attendant and Ring Groups – but Minute Plans reduce monthly costs to as low as $9.99 per user by limiting the number of minutes available in each tier.

This makes Minute Plans great for businesses that are just getting started or that experience a low call volume each month. VirtualPBX CEO Paul Hammond spoke about the affordability and expansiveness of Minute choices:

“Minute 300, 500, and 1000 give businesses an economical option for their voice service,” Hammond said. “Now for only $9.99 a month, an entrepreneur can bootstrap their initial marketing efforts or provide a dedicated business number to their contacts. Entrepreneurs and small businesses can grow their operations and upgrade VirtualPBX service as necessary – to other Minute Plans or our unlimited-minutes Dash Plans.”

“Calls can be easily forwarded to personal devices. And Minute users can expect to receive the base set of powerful features we offer to all our clients, including Automated Attendant, Ring Groups, Audio Conferencing, ACD Queues capability, and Zapier Integration for web service automation.”

In addition, all Minute Plans support unlimited users and give those users access to the free, full-featured VirtualPBX Web Phone. The three new plans are named according to the minutes they offer:

  • Minute 300 offers businesses 300 local + toll-free minutes and includes 1 free phone number.
  • Minute 500 allows for 500 minutes of calling and includes 2 free phone numbers. It adds ACD Queues capability to its feature list.
  • Minute 1000 boosts included minutes to 1000 and comes with 3 free phone numbers. ACD Queues capability, Call Recording, and Webhooks join the list of base features here.

Interested businesses can speak to the VirtualPBX Sales team today. Minute Plans are available now and present an affordable option to all organizations that want advanced calling features but don’t need to complete a lot of calls each month.

VirtualPBX Announces 2019 WebRTC Product of the Year Award Win

2019 WebRTC Product of the Year Award LogoVirtualPBX, developer of the Dash Business Phone System announced today that it has won the 2019 WebRTC Product of the Year Award from INTERNET TELEPHONY Magazine and WebRTC World.

VirtualPBX’s Web Phone gathered the award for its innovation and continued excellence in the communications market. This is the second year in a row that Web Phone has received the honor.

Innovating in the Market

VirtualPBX COO Lon Baker, who has played an integral part in guiding the VirtualPBX team through development of Web Phone, expressed his excitement about the company’s award win.

“Winning the 2019 WebRTC Product of the Year is an excellent comment on how hard the VirtualPBX team has worked to bring Web Phone into its current state,” Baker said. “It was a great phone to begin with. Now, with Version 2.0, it’s even better because of its extensive set of core features. We’re all looking forward to additions like SMS and CRM that will help our customers make the most of their phone plans.”

Since the release of Web Phone Version 2.0 just a few months ago, there has been considerable attention paid to this free, full-featured virtual device that comes with every VirtualPBX Phone Plan.

While the 1.0 version held its own as a voice communications tool, Version 2.0 has been re-worked to expand on its core features of voice calling and access to a user’s company directory. The back end of Web Phone now more easily supports integration with other cloud-based services and additional telephony features.

Customers will soon see Web Phone gain the ability to send and receive text messages (SMS). They will also soon have the opportunity to sync Web Phone with customer databases through Salesforce CRM Integration. Updates for these developments can be followed in the VirtualPBX Roadmap.

The latest updates to Web Phone have allowed customers to benefit from an improved interface that works on both Chrome and Firefox browsers – on desktop and mobile. In addition, users are now able to play back, download, and remove voicemails like they would through the standard online Dash dashboard. Users can also see their system status displayed in Web Phone’s direct link to the VirtualPBX Status Site.

2019 WebRTC Product of the Year Award Winners

VirtualPBX has joined good company with this award win. Its development of a browser-based phone is only one view of what’s possible with WebRTC.

Other 2019 WebRTC Product of the Year Award winners gained their recognition through development of software like a visual interpreter for the blind and through creation of various online meeting spaces.

TMC CEO Rich Tehrani praised all the award winners and noted the importance of innovation in this competitive market.

“It gives me great pleasure to honor VirtualPBX as a 2019 recipient of the WebRTC Product of the Year Award,” Tehrani said. “Our judges were very impressed with the ingenuity and excellence displayed by VirtualPBX in their groundbreaking work on the Web Phone.”

VirtualPBX hopes that its ongoing innovation through the established Web Phone will make a great addition to all its customers’ phone plans. This second consecutive award win from TMC shows that development is on the right track.

VirtualPBX Updates Affiliate Marketing Program With Impact

VirtualPBX Affiliate Program BannerVirtualPBX announced today that it will change the underlying structure of its Affiliate Marketing Program by moving to the Radius online partnership management software developed by Impact.

Using Impact’s Radius platform, VirtualPBX will improve the tracking of referrals to its Dash Business Phone Plans. Affiliates will gain the opportunity to track their commissions through the Radius dashboard and will benefit from an upgraded commission structure that awards as much as $1,500 per signup.

Rachel Anderson, the VP of Design and Marketing at VirtualPBX, spoke positively about how this partnership will affect affiliates.

“Affiliate programs are defined by the level of trust between affiliates and the companies they represent,” Anderson said. “We establish trust with our partners by effectively tracking their referrals and paying them on time, every time. Impact will improve our accuracy of tracking affiliate events while giving partners the ability to monitor their own activity through the Radius dashboard. No signups will slip through the cracks.”

Joining the VirtualPBX Affiliate Program is both simple and free. Prospective affiliates can visit the VirtualPBX site to sign up. Once a member, they just add links to Dash Plans on their own website. Then, if someone clicks the link and begins phone service with VirtualPBX, a payout is made to reward the affiliate for the referral.

Payouts follow a flat-rate structure that increases along the tier of Dash Plan an individual or business purchases. The referral of a 1-user Advanced plan, for instance, would merit a commission of $45. The referral of a 101-user Enterprise plan, however, would earn the affiliate $1,500. There’s also no limit to the number of sales an affiliate can make each month.

The Radius platform uses both cookie and non-cookie tracking methods to accurately detect affiliate activities. Although cookie blocking can disrupt traditional tracking of clicks, Radius’ advanced methods avoid that pitfall by capturing all activity involved with a link. When a Dash Plans link is clicked, both cookies and a digital fingerprint (not based on personally identifying information) are created to tie the affiliate to the click. VirtualPBX will have visibility into that process and can award payouts when sales result from those clicks.

VirtualPBX has enjoyed success with many of its long-time partners. Pfind.com, a product research website, remarked both on the quality of the company and its affiliate program:

“We always loved working with VirtualPBX as a partner. They offer one of the best products available in the market when it comes to VoIP. They are always responsive and helpful. The customers we refer to them are always happy with the product.”

Likewise, partner TheVoipHub.com remarked on the commissions it has received and the timely manner of its dealings with VirtualPBX:

“[This is] an affiliate program that not only pays a generous commission but is easy to use and one we can trust to pay on time.”

VirtualPBX wants to improve even further on these already-positive sentiments. More accurate tracking, quicker payments, and a better user experience will impact all current and new affiliates.

“This update to our Affiliate Program will have a huge effect on VirtualPBX and its partners,” Anderson concluded. “We hope the change will encourage more individuals to sign up and experience what we have to offer. And frankly it’s exciting to see our payout potential reach so high.”

VirtualPBX Announces Release of Web Phone 2.0

VirtualPBX Web Phone 2.0VirtualPBX, the developer of the Dash Business Phone System, has announced the release of its Web Phone, Version 2.0.

The updated WebRTC-based phone expands its ability to complete calls from desktop and mobile browsers and its attachment to all features included with Dash Plans.

Lon Baker, VirtualPBX COO, is calling this product upgrade a key moment in the present and future of the company.

“Our VirtualPBX Web Phone has long been a staple of our service. It gives everyone the ability to complete and receive calls on our Dash Phone System.

“This upgrade to Version 2.0 keeps the Web Phone’s core functionality while expanding on its potential. This development shows where we’re at currently as a company and where we’ll reach in the future — how we’re making calling accessible to all businesses and expanding the ability of what a web-based phone can do.”

The updated capability in Web Phone 2.0 begins with Voicemail Management. This screen within Web Phone’s new interface gives users space to manipulate messages left on their Dash accounts. Users can search for voicemails by date and caller ID; they can play, download, delete, or use click-to-call to reach those contacts.

Next, a new Status Indicator connects directly to the VirtualPBX Status Site, revealing the state of the overall VirtualPBX platform. Its green-light icon represents VirtualPBX 99.999% uptime and will change to red should any issues occur.

The updated User Interface also lends a number of benefits to customers. The UI handles limited screen space in mobile layouts much more efficiently. A directory menu makes it easier to search and click-to-call contacts. Furthermore, the audio options menu holds a more prominent place in the dashboard.

The back-end code that powers these new features also makes it possible for VirtualPBX developers to extend Web Phone as more of a data manipulation tool. What this means is that, while users could always complete calls and use Web Phone in features like Ring Groups, the phone’s interface was unable to handle collections of users information beyond accessing phone number directories.

Voicemail Management stands out as the primary example that differentiates 2.0 from 1.0. Users’ ability to play and delete their emails from within the phone’s dashboard shows that Web Phone 2.0 is capable of accessing and changing outside stores of data. Although this distinction may seem small on the surface, it has far-reaching implications for the future of Web Phone and its features — like the addition of Texting (SMS) and CRM Integration that will be revealed in the VirtualPBX Product Roadmap as development progresses.

All upgraded features in this release fit perfectly into any computer or mobile device that runs Chrome or Firefox.

Web Phone comes included free with all versions of the Dash Phone System and has propped up many businesses that desire uncomplicated access to a phone at the office and on the commute.

It makes calling colleagues easy by using the unlimited VoIP minutes between system users available on every VirtualPBX account. And it allows for simple contact with customers through users’ local account minutes — also unlimited on Essentials, Advanced, Enterprise, and Ultimate plans.

VirtualPBX invites all its current Dash users to take advantage of this upgrade and encourages prospective businesses to try Web Phone in a 14-day Dash Free Trial.

VirtualPBX Wins the 2019 Unified Communications POTY Award

2019 Unified Communications Product of the Year AwardVirtualPBX has announced its win of the 2019 Unified Communications Product of the Year Award, presented by TMC and INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine, for development of its SIP Trunking service.

TMC, an information technology marketing brand, and its IP communications magazine, INTERNET TELEPHONY, announce the top Unified Communications products every year in their Product of the Year awards. This year’s Unified Communications Award recipients included some of the biggest names in the communications market.

VirtualPBX was recognized for its SIP Trunking service in the wide-reaching UC market that includes digital office suites, meeting room conferencing software, and hosted voice services. CEO Paul Hammond had this to say about the win:

“It’s a great honor to be recognized among the best in the telecommunications industry. We strive to make the best SIP Trunking product on the market. The validation of winning the 2019 Unified Communications POTY Award lets us know we’re on the right track and primed to impress those who matter most: our customers.”

VirtualPBX SIP Trunking stands among the competition with a large number of benefits and features available to all its clients. Businesses can expect to gain an intuitive dashboard for handling their SIP trunks while also realizing significant cost savings and industry-leading call quality.

Cost savings arise primarily from the replacement of traditional phone lines. VirtualPBX allows companies to keep their investment in PBX hardware but replace their PRI lines with flexible, cost-effective SIP trunks that only demand a small cost-per-minute calling fee.

This structure is joined to 99.999% uptime to make sure businesses can reach their customers without added stress. Furthermore, businesses start with 20 channels and 5 burstable channels of concurrent outbound/inbound calling, with individual lines available for purchase as needed.

All calling through the SIP Trunking takes place at affordable, predictable per-minute rates. Long-distance charges within the same country become a thing of the past.

VirtualPBX SIP Trunking can be used as a solitary service, or businesses can pair it with VirtualPBX’s Dash Phone System to have some calls exit through trunks and others through Dash VoIP. No matter a customer’s journey, a single customer account is all that’s necessary to use the services.

For these benefits and for the future potential of the SIP Trunking service, TMC CEO Rich Tehrani exclaimed:

“Every year, I am more and more impressed by the innovative options available to clients in search of unified communications. The 2019 winners are driving the industry forward, and I can’t wait to monitor the continued success of these companies.”

VirtualPBX is thrilled to see its recognition in 2019 as part of the top companies in communications. It will continue to work tirelessly to fulfill the future success Tehrani predicts in his quote.

Moving to five distinct plans — Basic, Essentials, Advanced, Enterprise, and Ultimate — the new breakdown of service levels seeks to fit businesses’ needs better than ever. VirtualPBX CEO Paul Hammond commented that this release comes in direct response to his company’s years of listening to the needs of its customers.

“As our Dash Phone System continues to evolve to meet our customers’ needs, so should the breakdown of its available features,” Hammond said. “We want every business to get exactly what it requires and pay nothing extra. Our new Basic and Essentials packages reach the smallest of businesses, including startups and entrepreneurs, while Advanced, Enterprise, and Ultimate give more expansive options to midsize outfits and enterprises.”

“Every customer will continue to receive the same standard of 24/7 customer service and professional care we place behind all the work we do,” Hammond continued. “Each plan begins with a free 14-day trial with no obligation to buy. Our new plans simply give customers more choices with respect to the high-quality features they receive.”

Every plan includes unlimited VoIP minutes between system users, at least one included phone number, use of standard Dash features like Ring Groups, Auto Attendant, Voicemail Delivery to Email, Audio Conferencing, and access to the free VirtualPBX Web Phone.

Stepping up the tiers, each successive plan includes or improves upon all the features of the last. It begins with Basic, which offers customers 500 minutes of calling within the contiguous U.S. and support for any smartphone or desk phone they wish to use with their accounts.

Essentials steps forward with Unlimited U.S. Calling and access to Digital Faxing. It also includes 500 toll-free minutes for use with an 800 number.

Advanced offers 1000 toll-free minutes and use of ACD Queues, Call Recording, and Webhooks.

Enterprise’s 2500 toll-free minutes come alongside the use of SIP Trunking, access to the VirtualPBX API, and Private Storage for call recordings.

Finally, Ultimate joins 10,000 toll-free minutes to CRM Integration, and includes Priority Customer Support for a direct link to VirtualPBX senior staff with no hold times and requests for on-site visits.

Prospective customers can find a detailed breakdown of each new plan on the VirtualPBX homepage. The VirtualPBX Sales Team is ready to answer any questions and get businesses fitted to the Dash plans that work best for them.

VirtualPBX Awarded 2019 INTERNET TELEPHONY Product of the Year

INTERNET TELEPHONY Product of the YearVirtualPBX, developer of the Dash Business Phone System, has been awarded the 2019 Product of the Year Award from TMC and INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine.

Commenting on his company’s standing in the communications market, VirtualPBX CEO, Paul Hammond, spoke about his company’s receipt of this respected award – the 10th one to sit atop the company’s shelf:

“It’s nothing less than exciting to see how this company performs on the global stage,” Hammond said. “The Product of the Year honor from INTERNET TELEPHONY signifies how hard we work and how well our core product helps businesses of all sizes. It is, once again, a pleasure to be announcing our recognition as a top-tier company among the giants in communications.”

The Product of the Year award means to address companies that both create an excellent product and innovate within their markets. VirtualPBX Business Phone Plans set the benchmark for what cloud-based communications should be. They offer entrepreneurs to enterprises a host of bespoke features, including Automated Attendant, Call Recording, Ring Groups, and Email-to-Fax.

VirtualPBX then builds on that constancy by offering enterprise add-ons like ACD Queues and Salesforce Integration. It makes sure every business has a full-featured phone by including its Web Phone with all plans. And it sets the standard for customer service with 24/7 Support across phone, email, and live chat.

This full package of core product, powerful features, and always-available support show that VirtualPBX can create an excellent phone system that moves the market forward. Rich Tehrani, the CEO of TMC, commented on this reality:

“I am honored to recognize VirtualPBX with a 2019 Product of the Year Award for its commitment to excellence and innovation,” Tehrani said. “In the opinion of our judges and editorial team, the Dash Business Phone System has proven to be among the best communications and technology solutions available on the market. I look forward to continued leadership from VirtualPBX.”

VirtualPBX Releases Case Study Video in Relationship Milestone

VirtualPBX, creator of the Dash Business Phone System, has reached a milestone in its years-long relationship with Persistent Systems, a global enterprise software developer.

Their time together has witnessed Persistent’s launch of nine new offices in six countries – all linked by VirtualPBX’s Dash. Now, to celebrate their continued success as business partners, they have finalized a case study report and accompanying video.

“They’ve Been An Excellent Vendor to Work With”

Todd Baseden, the Principal Engineering Manager at Persistent, was kind enough to provide his talent for the case study video below. He was asked to speak honestly about the relationship between his company and VirtualPBX, and what arose was a testament to the positive nature of the companies’ dealings together.

“You’re looking at performance… what your service after the sale is going to be,” Baseden said in his interview for the brief film.

“It’s pretty easy for you to say, ‘Buy my equipment, my services,’ but then not be able to provide help afterward,” he continued. “One of the key differentiators for us has been the level of service.”
Persistent has used VirtualPBX Premier Support since its site rollouts began. As a Premier member, it has gained guaranteed immediate access to phone, email, and online chat with VirtualPBX Support representatives.

In the times that issues have occurred close to home in the U.S. or as far away as India, techs have been standing by to deliver both virtual and on-site support.

“The Level of Integrity is Really High”

Baseden also praised the forthcoming nature of the partnership.

“You can be so frustrated [when] working in the tech business. But as long as people have a good sense of humor… and have a high level of respect and honesty, that’s the other key thing.”

“If I ask them if there’s something wrong, they don’t beat around the bush,” he said. “They tell me: It’s a problem and we’re going to fix it.”

From First Steps to Today

VirtualPBX initially helped Persistent Systems configure a collection of new offices at the pace of about two sites per month. Within six months, they were operating together in Canada, Israel, India, Mexico, the U.K., and the U.S.

Today, each of the nine Persistent locations is linked by a common Dash network of desk and conference phones. The network serves more than 350 employees who need reliable voice service and dedicated support to keep their own projects running smoothly.

Through everything, Baseden said, the quality of VirtualPBX’s service and support stands for itself:
“I think they’ve been an excellent vendor to work with. If someone came to me and said, ‘Do you know of any vendors?’ I’d say, ‘Give these guys a try.’”
