VirtualPBX Office Plans Receive Complete User Interface Design Overhaul

All New vConsoleAward-winning enterprise telephone platform now comes with improved, user-friendly user interface

San Jose, California, September 7, 2016 — VirtualPBX announced today that their hosted telephone system for enterprise businesses has undergone a total redesign. Now, VirtualPBX Office Plans will have a similar user-friendly and intuitive design to that of its companion product, Dash, which has gone on to be the recipient of numerous awards for design and innovation.

“Office Plans represent the culmination of our most powerful hosted telecommunications solutions for large businesses,” said Lon Baker, VirtualPBX COO, “and now they come with an interface that represents the latest in user-focused design.”

The motivation behind creating a uniquely user-friendly interface on Dash that got the industry to turn its head is what was behind the roll out of this design update as well. Currently released into beta-testing, the new Office interface will be an option for legacy Office users to toggle in and out of with the vConsole, Office Plan’s existing web-based management system. Eventually, though, all Office Plan users will be able to begin enjoying the industry-leading VoIP technology platform through a sleek and clean new interface.

More than simply re-skinning the existing vConsole, this design update required sizable investments of time and resources on the part of VirtualPBX engineers to marry the full complement of call routing and forwarding features to a new interface. With such a capable business telephone system, the new appearance needed to be elegant and intuitive in order to let businesspeople navigate through all of their configuration options with ease.

One of the greatest achievements of the design process for Office Plans stemmed from the company’s universal device compatibility. By allowing virtually any web-enabled device on earth to be a compatible peripheral to the Office Plan network, the new interface therefore also had to be compatible with the devices, as well. The new Office Plan interface is responsive, compatible with the latest Android and iOS operating systems, and it’s as mobile friendly as it is user-friendly.

“When people switch to Office Plans they are shocked at the level of service they had been missing out with their old provider,” added Baker, “we wanted to recreate that feeling when they begin using the new interface, too!”
