VirtualPBX Desktop Softphone Updated

Core Use Product for Hosted Telecom Leader Gets Overhaul

VirtualPBX SoftphoneSan Jose, CA, November 4, 2015 – VirtualPBX announced today that it has completed an update of its Desktop Softphone. Now fully compatible with the latest versions of iOS Yosemite and Mavericks along with all Windows platforms through Windows 10, the key product in the VirtualPBX line-up keeps in step with the recently updated VirtualPBX Softphone App.

“We work tirelessly to improve the mobility of our customers’ telecommunications,” said Len Cacioppo, VP of Operations at VirtualPBX, “and no matter how much the reliance on mobile devices will increase, there isn’t an end for desktop softphone applications anywhere in sight.”

VirtualPBX leverages its nearly 20 years of history in developing virtual communication products to stay at the forefront of hosted telecom usage trends. Chiefly aware of any changes in that realm, Cacioppo and his team analyze staggering amounts of data to tailor their products in accordance of these trends, and seeing as how the Desktop Softphone is a primary point of access for many business VoIP users, this update will boost productivity for customers where they will notice it most.

“In addition to the standard OS compatibility updates, we’ve made several other key improvements that help to differentiate our Desktop Softphone among the competition,” continued Cacioppo, “specifically, we’ve brought a battery of security updates to the platform, made interface changes that allow users to toggle dial pad viewing, and mirrored all the same call history and use metrics that are already on the popular VirtualPBX Softphone App for iOS and Android that will make for transitions from one to the other seamless for customers who use both.”

VirtualPBX serves companies with mobile or distributed workforces and businesses with high amounts of business travel days, making the mobility of their VoIP products so attractive. In addition to these businesses, however, there are many more employees in the call center space or in the support and auxiliary functions of a business that all primarily rely on the Desktop Softphone. These updates, plus added functionality for future products and platforms to integrate therewith, make the VirtualPBX Desktop Softphone the ultimate hub from which all aspects of the modern businessperson to begin their day.
