The new VirtualPBX Phone is here for Windows and Mac, replacing our older VirtualPBX desktop softphone.
We’ve brought more of the calling tools you use every day into a dedicated desktop app, making it easier to manage business calls from the same computer where you’re already working.
Whether you’re answering customers, transferring calls, or bringing a colleague into a conversation, the new VirtualPBX Phone gives you more ways to stay connected throughout your workday.
Your Business Phone, Right on Your Desktop
VirtualPBX Phone is a fully installed desktop application. You can make and receive calls using your business number without needing to keep another browser tab open.
Getting started is simple, too. Just sign in with your existing VirtualPBX dashboard credentials, no separate softphone username or password to manage.
And because VirtualPBX Phone works alongside our mobile app and Web Phone, you’re using the same business phone system whether you’re calling from your computer, smartphone, or browser.
More Ways to Handle Your Calls
A business call doesn’t always start and end with the person who picks up.
Maybe a customer has a question that needs another teammate’s expertise. With three-way calling, you can bring that person into the conversation without ending the original call.
If someone needs to speak with another department, you have options there, too. A warm transfer lets you talk to the next person before connecting the caller, while a blind transfer sends the call directly to its destination.
And when you’re working with phone numbers on websites or in other applications, click-to-call lets you place a call without manually entering the number into your dialpad.
Familiar call controls like hold and mute are there when you need them, too.
Your Contacts and Voicemail, Close at Hand
Your VirtualPBX contacts are available right inside the desktop app, making it easy to find and call the people you work with.
Those contacts stay synced across devices, with contact management handled through the VirtualPBX Web Phone. You can maintain your contacts in one place and have them ready to dial from your desktop.
You can also check your voicemail directly in the app, so there’s no need to reach for another device or switch to a browser just to catch up on missed calls.
One Phone System, More Ways to Work
The new desktop softphone is part of the same VirtualPBX experience you already know.
Prefer working from your browser? VirtualPBX Web Phone is still available, with no traditional software installation required. You can also install it as a Progressive Web App for convenient desktop access.
Need to step away from your computer? The VirtualPBX mobile app lets you make and receive business calls from your smartphone.
The new desktop app gives you another way to work with your business number, with dedicated calling capabilities built into an application for Windows and Mac.
