VirtualPBX Introduces Revolutionary Usability Enhancements to Softphone App
Award-Winning VirtualPBX Softphone App Update boosts interface, performance, & security
San Jose, California, April 6, 2016 — VirtualPBX continues to introduce inventive and rare usability into the hosted telecom industry, most recently with the newly updated VirtualPBX Softphone App. The VirtualPBX Softphone App is the award-winning mobile extension of the equally acclaimed VirtualPBX hosted telephone service, and in an updated version of the software, has received several key enhancements.
“Of course with every update we have the first priority is the Softphone App’s safe, clean operation of our customers’ core service,” said Lon Baker, VirtualPBX COO. “But this update drives far beyond the critical bolstering of security and operating system compatibility.”
The addition of two key features to the Softphone App are primarily responsible for the product’s new appeal. First is the inclusion of an always-on network conditions indicator to notify users of the strength of the data connection they’re using to operate the app.
“VirtualPBX Softphone App users are inherently on the go and won’t always know they will have a network option that is as reliable as their options at home,” continued Baker, “that’s why a network strength indicator is critical for users who value high quality voice clarity on their phone calls.”
Second, the inclusion of new floating call display item means that, for Android users, minimizing the app allows them to have a convenient, one-tap return option to their current call.
“Most mobile users run multiple programs concurrently, so a quick touchstone to return their phone calls like the floating call display makes it easier to use.” Baker added.
These two additions combine to deliver functionality that is uniquely helpful to business travelers and reinforces the VirtualPBX reputation for bringing valuable features to their users. In addition to the added security updates and compatibility with the latest iOS and Android operating systems, these intuitive updates make the VirtualPBX Softphone App fresh and dovetail it nicely with the all-new Dash platform that was released earlier this year.
