Creating VirtualPBX Softphone Credentials in vConsole

  1. Log into your vConsole page as an Administrator and click on the “Admin” tab. Next click on “VoIP Phones”.
  2. Click Add Softphone
  3. Choose Add VPBX Softphone
  4. A pop-up window will open with additional information. Namely that adding a softphone can increase your bill by $4.99/month and may include a per minute charge. This is all subject to the plan you are currently on. If you are unsure how this may affect your bill, please contact our Support Team, we would be happy to help. To continue, click I understand.
  5. Click Manage Softphone
  6. Click Assign
  7. Select the Extension you wish to have the Softphone on. Then click Update.
  8. Click Back and change the status of the Softphone to Enable and click Update
  9. On the left hand side, click Extensions
  10. Click Edit next to the extension you assigned the softphone to
  11. A new window will open showing the extension’s Call Routing Tab. Click on Manage next to the softphone
  12. Choose or create a username and password for the Softphone and click Update. These are your login credentials to the VirtualPBX Softphone App.
  13. A new window will pop open confirming your setup. Click OK. Please wait 5-10 minutes before attempting to login to the Softphone App.
  14. Click Insert Into Call Routing
  15. When you are finished with the above steps, the softphone should now appear in the extension’s call routing table.
