Grandstream IP Phone

Depending on your Grandstream model and firmware version, your Grandstream interface may look different than the screenshots included below. The steps, however, are the same.

  1. In the Dashboard, click on Users
  2. Click on Devices for the user you wish to add the Grandstream phone
  3. Click on New Device
  4. Select Soft Phone
  5. The Dash system will automatically create your credentials. You may adjust the device name to your liking.
  6. Record your SIP Username, SIP Password, and Realm – you will need these shortly. To display your SIP Password simply click on the text box to reveal it.
  7. Click on Save Changes
  8. Login to your Grandstream phone’s interface using username and password “admin” – you may need to refer to your phone’s manual if you have forgotten how to access this interface.
  9. Under Account(s) > General Settings, enter the following information:
    • SIP Server: (enter the Realm you were given in the Dash interface)
    • SIP UserID: (enter the SIP Username you were given in the Dash interface)
    • SIP Authentication ID: (enter the SIP Username you were given in the Dash interface)
    • SIP Authentication Password: (enter the SIP Password you were given in the Dash interface)

  10. Click on Save
  11. Next, go to Maintenance > Upgrade and Provisioning and enter the following information:
    • Upgrade Via – Set to “HTTP”
    • Firmware Server Path – leave blank
    • Config Server Path – p3.zswitch.net (no http://)

  12. Click Save and Apply at bottom of page.
  13. Click Provision at top of page to have phone provision; will reboot multiple times before completing.
