San Jose, California (October 25, 2018) – VirtualPBX announced today that the 2018 Mobile Breakthrough Awards competition has named it the sole winner of this year’s Unified Communications Solution of the Year Award for development of the VirtualPBX Mobile Service.
Lon Baker, VirtualPBX COO, expressed his company’s excitement for having received the award.
“Speaking for myself and the rest of the VirtualPBX team: We’re thrilled to be recognized as a top company in the UC market. Our primary goal is always to make business communications easier and more functional. With the 4G LTE Mobile service, we give clients native access to our Dash Business Phone System whether they’re inside the office or on the go. They can call, text, and remain connected from anywhere, and never lose access to customers or fellow employees.”
Smartphones on the VirtualPBX Mobile service connect directly to Dash Business Phone Plans. Once connected, a business’s mobile devices act just like desk phones. They gain all the features Dash offers, including Conferencing, Call Recording, Extension Dialing, inclusion in Ring Groups, and connection to ACD Queues when available.
Businesses can purchase phones like the Apple iPhone 8 and 8+ or the Google Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL directly from the VirtualPBX Store. Or they can bring their own handsets and order new SIM cards for their devices. Most unlocked mobile phones will work with the service.
Calls made through VirtualPBX Mobile can appear as either the fully-configurable Caller ID Name of the business or the Caller ID number of an individual mobile phone. This way, callers can either represent the business as a whole or their station as an employee.
Transferring existing business phone numbers to VirtualPBX Mobile devices is easy. Users can also opt for new local numbers based on their zip codes. In either case, customers can easily keep in touch with individuals through their mobile numbers or business extensions associated with their Dash accounts.
“While the promise of true mobile VoIP and unified communications solutions bring a plethora of compelling benefits, complicated configurations and app setups have slowed down enterprise adoption of this promising technology,” stated James Johnson, managing director, Mobile Breakthrough. “VirtualPBX is taking on these issues head on by enabling enterprise customers to use their mobile phones natively on the VirtualPBX Dash Business phone system without any complex installation or configuration issues. We’re excited to recognize VirtualPBX for their innovation in the Unified Communications space, and we congratulate them on their well-deserved 2018 Mobile Breakthrough Award.”
Competition was fierce for the 2018 Mobile Breakthrough Awards. More than 200 nominations were whittled down to such impressive company as Cisco, VMWare, and Verizon.
VirtualPBX is honored to sit with such fine company and to have the opportunity to further expand the unified communications market. It will continue to innovate its Dash Business Phone System and its accompanying Web Phone, Softphone, and of course the VirtualPBX Mobile service that has seen much success in such a short period.
VirtualPBX was founded in San Francisco in 1997 and brought some of the first commercially available hosted PBX service to market for small business owners. Born from the advent of the hosted telecom industry and driven by the innovative vision of its founders, VirtualPBX continues to deliver leading edge telephony products for business. Backed by award-winning, local, in-house support teams, VirtualPBX offers an array of services including disaster recovery, network monitoring and optimization, and professional system management.
